"Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.  It was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in the early 1900's.  Reiki is administered by the "laying on of hands." A standard treatment includes hand positions around the head, shoulders, stomach, legs and feet. Techniques such as this have been practiced for thousands of years.
